Beautiful and So Charming!

Deborah’s beautiful cottage was so charming, immaculately clean, and perfectly set up for us! Every detail had been thought of - we were amazed to find USB charger outlets at nightstand height. The hot tub was wonderful, and the accommodations were well appointed and exceedingly comfortable!

We Enjoyed the Cabin Very Much!

The area was peaceful and easy to get to once we got our bearings. It is quite apparent that the cabin's amenities , supplies, decor, furnishings and other attributes were very well planned and thought out. We were quite inspired by the layout of the cabin and felt very comfortable. Deborah of course was the same, attentive , thoughtful and appropriately communicative. Thanks again for the wonderful stay, we highly recommend this cabin. Sincerely Jerry and Julia

Don't miss your chance to stay and be pampered!

First time traveling to NC. Stayed at Lynette's due to close family friends suggestion. We loved everything about the cottage and Debbie does not miss a detail. Spent and evening reminiscing on the back porch about being from small town central IL. Went on the Smokey Mountain train ride and Cherokee museum. Also ate in Asheville as well and visiting the Biltmore Estate. Love the Smokies and Curt and Debbie. We WILL be back.

Perfect Guest house

We loved staying in Lynette’s guest house. It was absolutely charming! Deborah has thought of everything we would possible need. It was very clean and new! Enjoyed the hot tub every evening after a day of sight seeing. Would recommend it to anyone staying in the area.

This cottage is amazing! The pictures don't do it justice. It's so charming and perfect. The attention to detail is wonderful. The hot tub and screened in back porch was so relaxing. Can't wait to visit again! Thanks Deborah!

Thank you for such a lovely review! It certainly has been challenge to display the charm of this home in photos. This is something I will continue to work on. It was a delight having you stay and I hope we do see you back in the very near future!

Deborah Horn

My name is Deborah. My husband, Curt, and I are the owners and managers of Deborah's Cottage Rentals.
Curtis and I were childhood sweethearts who grew up in the Midwest. One year we sponsored our high school children's mission trip to the Appalachian Mountains. Once again, we were smitten. As soon as she graduated from high school we sold the family owned Christmas Tree Farm, quit our corporate jobs, and moved to Western North Carolina.
This is where the story begins.
As an educator and a musician, moving to North Carolina provided me many new opportunities. I developed and facilitated courses for the University of North Carolina. Next, I opened a private music studio and taught students of all ages how to play and perform multiple instruments. Now, I am what my children call, the “Momager.” I handle all aspects of the cottage/cabin rentals and manage the family.
Curt, coming from Illinois’s Natural Wildlife Department, earned his way to Director of Ground Operations at Biltmore Estate. He oversees many areas you enjoy during your visit. These include departments such as the field to table program, farm animals, crops, roads, estate landscape, and forestry.
When are not work focused we like to travel. I tend to migrate to the warmer climates while Curt dreams of Alaska.
Our world seems to revolve around our adult children and granddaughters. Shortly after we moved to North Carolina our family adopted two little girls. Just one more huge reason to know moving to the mountains was meant to be. Like all grandchildren, they have turned our world upside down.
